Backlit Glass Display Cabinet

Project overviewThe cabinet is split into two black-framed glass-door sections, each with individually lit shelves that stay illuminated even with the doors shut — glassware, stemware and stacked crockery are arranged shelf by shelf, from wine glasses at the top to serving bowls and teapots near the floor. It sits directly beside a grey coffee-station cabinet run with an integrated espresso machine and marble-effect worktop, so the display reads as part of the kitchen rather than a separate piece of furniture. The warm interior lighting against the cool grey cabinetry outside is a deliberate contrast — it's what makes the display cabinet the visual anchor of the nook rather than just storage. What was builtTwo-section, full-height glass display cabinet with black metal door framesIndividually lit glass shelving for glassware and crockery displayMatching grey coffee-station cabinetry with marble-effect worktopIntegrated appliance housing for a built-in espresso machineCoordinated LED lighting between the display cabinet and the counter runDesign notesA backlit display cabinet works best positioned exactly like this one — at the transition point between a kitchen and a dining or coffee nook, where it's seen from a seated position rather than only in passing.
