Project overview
The ceiling is divided into a coffered grid, with one panel finished in a marbled gold-veined surface and the remainder in flat white bordered by gilded trim. At the centre sits a raised plaster medallion — layered floral and lattice detailing rising toward a smaller inset rosette — surrounded by four corner floral appliqués and a secondary rosette in the adjoining panel.
A continuous LED cove is set into the lattice-trimmed border beneath the medallion, so the ceiling reads as gilded architecture during the day and as a lit centrepiece at night.

Craft notes
Ceiling medallion work like this is built up in plaster on site rather than bolted on as a single moulded piece — that's what allows the floral detail to wrap around the room's actual light fittings and sit flush with the coffered grid instead of floating over it.
